Natural & Pure Ingredients Sourcing
For an organic skincare formulator, sourcing the right ingredient which is raw, pure, natural and aligns with your work ethics is as important as actual formulation. We at Kaanan Botanica take pride in the fact that we curate, extract, infuse and bottle our products by hand. We are creating small batches taking care of quality and efficacy parameters. We source most of our ingredients from local farms after checking on their quality.
Seabuckthorn Berries
From the land of high mountains & passes Ladakh kaanan_botanica brings to you the goodness of freshly harvested and sun-dried Seabuckthorn berries, which has magical benefits. Here in these photos, our friends and local partners in Ladakh making sure that we are able to source these berries for use in our products like facemask and lipbalm; before snow covers and cuts off this region from the rest of the country. Saffron
Saffron is a very rare and one of the most expensive spices in the world. It is used both in cooking and skincare because of its antioxidant effects. Saffron contains two types of carotenoids which impart yellow orange colour to it and also acts as antioxidant. We source this key ingredient of our formulations from Kashmir valley which is known for its highest quality.
Rose Petal Powder
Rose petal powder that we use in our Rose and Seabuckthorn face mask is sourced from Himachal ( land which is far away from the pollution and chaos). These desi Gulab petals are collected by hands, washed , shade dried, hand pounded, sieved and then mixed with other ingredients to bring all the goodness in one bottle
About the Founder
Preeti saw the field of Organic Skincare as something that excited her creative endeavors and to fulfill her newfound ambition decided to up-skill herself after taking up formal education and courses in this field. She enrolled with UK based “Formula Botanica” and completed her courses in 2020. “Kaanan Botanica” was founded with a vision to provide the community with solutions around completely organic and natural ingredients-based skincare products. Kaanan Botanica will continue to bring to its customers all that is “Essentially Nature”.
